Refund & Marketplace Policy
Attorney review pending. This policy is designed to protect buyers without turning digital software into an unlimited-use return system.
1. What a listing must tell you
Before purchase, a listing should disclose the product, price, whether payment is one-time or recurring, major system or access requirements, material limitations, included support, and any seller-specific refund promise.
2. Digital products
Because software can be delivered or accessed immediately, purchases are generally final once download, license activation or hosted access has been provided, except as stated below, promised by the listing, or required by law.
3. BoxedBots marketplace protection
A buyer may request review when a purchased product is materially different from its listing, cannot be accessed as promised, is materially nonfunctional for its disclosed supported environment, contains undisclosed malicious behavior, or the seller fails to provide a specifically promised deliverable. Requests should be made promptly after discovery and ordinarily within 7 days after initial delivery or access.
4. What is normally not refundable
Refunds are normally not provided merely because a buyer changed their mind after receiving usable software; lacked a requirement clearly disclosed before purchase; failed to use the product; expected an unadvertised feature; or violated the product’s license or acceptable-use rules.
5. Subscriptions
Cancellation stops future renewals unless the listing says otherwise. A cancellation does not automatically refund a period already purchased or substantially used. Unauthorized, duplicate or erroneous charges will be investigated.
6. Seller-specific promises
A seller may offer more generous refund rights. A seller may not use a listing-specific policy to take away rights expressly provided by BoxedBots or non-waivable law.
7. Review and remedies
BoxedBots may request reasonable evidence, test access, contact the seller, issue a full or partial refund, provide account credit where agreed, require remediation, suspend a listing or seller, or deny unsupported claims. Abuse of refunds, chargebacks or marketplace protection may result in account restrictions.
8. Chargebacks
Please give BoxedBots a reasonable opportunity to resolve a billing or product issue before initiating a chargeback. Nothing here prevents rights available under applicable payment or consumer-protection law.
